OlliOlli 2, sequel to the equally frustrating OlliOlli, is a side-scrolling 2D skateboard, lets say, simulator…An EXTREMELY DIFFICULT Skateboard simulator. Now I’m not saying I’m a good gamer in any respect, I have my handful of games I play decently but don’t expect much from me, so your experience with OlliOlli 2 may differ from my own. You control your skater with the left joystick for jumping/tricks/grinds and the X button for speed, which sounds simple but in a would where you expect to jump with buttons it quickly has you slamming your face into the ground over and over…and over. Every level contains 5 challenges, ranging from score goals, tricks requirements, and “item” collection, and if you complete every challenge through out the game you unlock RAD mode, basically the games HARD mode. I’ve only made it through about 4 levels, but I am definitely enjoying the frustration. To me there really isn’t much you need to know, but it is currently FREE for Playstation Plus members on PS4/PS Vita, and seeing as it’s not on any other consoles currently you may want to look into it (Without Plus the game is currently $14.99).
We at Space Time Taco grade games by 3 categories: Buy, Borrow, Burn. OlliOlli 2 is a digital only game, which fluxes with the setup a bit. As a currently “free” title, OlliOlli 2 is definitely a “buy” but for $14.99 I’d say find a friend who has already got the game and enjoy it…
